Celebrating 98 Years

The Environmental Health Coalition of National City is urgently calling on parishioners who live in National City to join a petition to STOP USDG Fuels—a private company—from operating a large filling station for big trucks on the west side of the city. This proposed facility would transfer toxic fuel from railcars to heavy-duty trucks, increasing traffic, air pollution, and health risks for our neighborhoods. Its location—less than half a mile from homes, schools, and churches—poses a serious threat to public health and undermines our community’s clean air goals.

We have seen this work before—over a year ago, a similar project in Barrio Logan was successfully stopped thanks to the strong and united efforts of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and community allies. Together, we can do the same for National City. Our united action today answers Pope Francis’ urgent call for Christians to care for our common home—a mission now carried forward by Pope Leo XIV. Let us act now to protect the health of our families, our children, and our future.
